Bat sonar examples
These images are screen-shots from a bespoke detector/analyser sampling at 655 kS/s, and were recorded using polarised capacitor microphones.

Picture width in milli-seconds is shown in the bottom RH corner, and frequency in kHz to the left of the dotted cursors. The centre-line of the amplitude display corresponds to 117 kHz on the frequency scale except where noted on the picture. The frequency vs time plots (cyan-coloured dots) are calculated by a proprietary ZX algorithm developed by Ultra Sound Advice, which generates clear traces accurate to within one part in 240 (eg 0.25 kHz at 60 kHz).
